Whoo! Almost Christmas, everyone!! ^^ Today, I'm opening up the wallpapers section! They're similar to the calendars, except they don't have the dates and stuff on them, just the images. Most of them are the same as backgrounds for the old calendars, but numbers nine and ten are completely new! ^.^
Also, I have to share with you this wonderful Christmas graphic that we got from Twilight Warriors! I'm going to put it on the Awards page under awards given, with a new section for gifts. Thanks, Driftingstar!!

We at the Warrior's Den are no strangers to link-to buttons. I love making them almost more than I love life and love itself. They are like children to me. I'm going to try to make more of these beautiful things this next year. But for now, let us all enjoy the nine I have given birth to on this wonderful winter's day (or summer, if you are in the southern hemisphere). I have given these children the collective name, "Pastel Series".

Three of them are more cat photos with star backgrounds, which have been fairly popular (on DeviantART, at least) and the swirly-thing in the background of the Power of Three signature was made by Scatterdpelt. I used it because I thought it was just SO awesome, don't you agree?

Character Profiles! These are similar to the “ThunderClan Cat List” that we have here on the site, but these have photos of each cat. :3 You can even print out a profile about your favorite character! We have four profiles now, (Firestar, Tigerstar, Brightheart, and Bluestar) but I’ll be sure to make more in the future! Yep, that's right!! We've been slaving away over hot keyboards for, literally, months to bring you guys the Twelve Days of Christmas again this year!! Some of you, who watch our Deviant Art accounts, ( nudge nudge nudge) you may have already heard of or seen some 12 days stuff, but there are still things that we haven't put there, too!
For today, I'm putting up a tidbit that I have been working on for literally about three months.. can anyone say writer's block? I'm really happy with how it came out, though, and Thistlecloud was essential in correcting it. (It's a miracle she could read my half-cursive half-printing random mix of mess on the original page, but she managed somehow.) So, without further ado, go check out Birchkit!

In the spirit of keeping the site up-to-date, I gave the Upcoming Releases page a much-needed update, with tons of new dates for the upcoming books. I also moved the birthday layout to the old layouts page and replaced it with the normal layout. I bought my copies of Cats of the Clans and The Rise of Scourge yesterday online, so I should have them in about three days. Once I read them and get my notes together, I will be able to get the website up-to-date for those, too!

Wow, everyone! I can't believe it, but today The Warrior's Den is celebrating its first birthday! One year ago today I put this site online, not realizing how huge a part of my life it would become. I never thought I would follow through with it - I expected my interest to fizzle out, as it had with many other ambitious projects. But, to my surprise, it never has! I may get to busy to keep up now and then, but TWD is always in the back of my mind. It's all the people I've gotten to talk to that makes it worthwhile. Scatteredpelt, Thistlecloud, and I all love doing this, knowing that people appreciate all the work we put into it. Thanks to all those people who've come to the site, once or multiple times. I know it seems like we've forgotten the site lately, and we have been busy with real life, but we've been working on something super-special to celebrate TWD's first birthday! So, enough with the overly-sentimental thank yous, on to the announcements!
First, as I am sure you've noticed by now, we have a temporary new layout to celebrate! It will get filed away on the old layouts page next week, but for now we will leave it up for people to enjoy! Secondly, I have hidden ten little birthday images around the site, that look like this:
This is for the first ever The Warrior's Den Scavenger Hunt! If you can find all ten, and copy-paste the urls of all ten hidden images and email them to thewarriorsden@yahoo.com, you could win a free custom graphic made by me! Only the first three people to submit the locations will get the image! If I don't have three valid entries by July 31, however, I am closing the contest, so get to it! ^.^ Next, yet another big announcement! Jay x Stick: A Stick Worth Loving, the Jay x Stick shrine that I have been working on since January, is finally open! You can get to it by clicking the button on the right sidebar, under the new section, Sub Site! Enjoy - I had a lot of fun making that.
But that's not all! We pulled out all the stops to put up tons of new content to celebrate! We have a new section under 'fun stuff' called The Library, where we review our favorite - and least favorite - books and book series. There are only three up currently, one by each of us about our top favorites, but expect many more soon! We have a list twenty-five books long that we want to review! If you have any books you'd like us to read and review, email them into thewarriorsden@yahoo.com, and we'll see what we can do. Try to keep suggestions to cat-related, fantasy, or manga books as we are trying to stick to books that would interest Warriors fans. Next, we have two new graphics sections, made by Thistlecloud! One is banners, and the other is more graphics. Together, they have tons of great images for you to use and enjoy. They originally appeared on her DeviantART account, and now they're here for you to use! Finally, we have two smaller updates. There is a new poem up in the poem section, entitled 'Hatred', done by a good friend of mine, Thistlepelt, about the hatred between Firestar and Tigerstar. We also have a new poll up, finally, asking your opinion of Outcast. Thanks to everyone who voted in the last poll, Heatherpaw and Lionpaw are a definite cannon couple, 112 votes to 40!
That's it for today, but there is a lot planned for this summer. My first priority is to catch up with affiliates and blurbs on the book info page and to get up to date on calendars. Those sections have been neglected lately. ^.^; Also, I intend to keep working on the library, and get through the list of books we still have to review. I have also had two new printables sections planned for some time now - bookmarks and doorhangers - that I'd like to get up and going this summer. I have many other overly-ambitious plans, but you'll have to keep watching this summer to see what we can do! Thanks again, everyone, for coming to our site and keeping it going! Grr! So busy! I still haven't even had time to pick up a copy of the new books! Sorry, everyone! I did, however, just get a neomail from Anali informing me of some errors in the descriptions on the Leafpool Mother Theory page. ^.^; Those descriptions were written before Dark River came out and were taken from the cover of The Sight. I changed the descriptions, but the body of the text will be changed as soon as Scatteredpelt gets around to it, because, after all, it's her work! So thanks a ton, Anali!

I just got the latest Author Tracker, and among other news, there was a link to a preview of Outcast! I have only read the prologue and chapter one, but it's great so far, and has the first four chapters! After all of the information in the first chapter, I have updated the Character List, Family Tree (now without all of the couples from the Official Website that the Erins said weren't cannon), Name Parts list, and Cannon Couples page! I got a jump on updates before the book comes out!

Big news today! The latest author tracker is out, containing some big news! It first announces Dark River's number one status, and talks about the authors' status on upcoming books. It announces Power of Three Five to be called Long Shadows, and announces ANOTHER MANGA SERIES!! This one will be centered around everyone's (including Vicky's, apparently) favorite loner, Ravenpaw! It will go back to when the cats were still in the forest and follow Ravenpaw's adventures. I'm excited, but I was kind of hoping they would go back to Ravenpaw in a Super Special edition instead of through manga, but I'm not complaining! THe Author Tracker also said they made the first official Warriors video, but I can't seem to get it to load! I'll let you guys know if I manage to get it to load.
Update: I got it to load! It's amazing, with a lot of new images, I'm assuming many are from Cats of the Clans. I'm going to go get some screenshots, so expect graphics with some of the images in the future!! If you want to see the video for yourself (I can't find a link to it from the website) here you go!

Hello everyone! I got some stuff done today! I put up a video section, which links to the old Tigerclaw video and the all-new Bluestar's Final Moments video by me and a page where Thistlecloud's A Tribute to Warriors video will go soon. I also cleaned up the archives a little by giving the 2007 archive their own page, and I made six valentines you can print out and give to friends and family! I'm thinking I'll make a separate printables section soon for coloring pages, calendars, valentines, and the in progress bookmark section![Which should be out in the next couple weeks, at most.] Also, I'd like to announce three new affiliates!: The Prey Pile, Warrior Cat Pics, and StarClan Prophecies! I am starting up a Jay x Stick, or Woodenshipping, shrine! I think it's the funniest pairing ever, so I decided it needed a shrine. I am looking for contributions from anyone, and I will give credit. I've already got a couple things from people on Ww forums and DA, but more is better! Scatteredpelt drew an awesome pic for the banner, too.
